Sneak Peak: 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

The fall production at Friends Academy this year is The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. A hysterical play full of jokes and great music, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee details the interactions of a few  stereotypical young spellers in their county spelling bee. This will be the first post in a series that will include first hand updates on how the rehearsals are going and other news about the show. Another one of Inkwell’s very own, Nick McNiel, will be starring in it, as well as other Upper School students from all grades.

Junior Sam Riese and Senior Becky Hirsch on stage!

This past Saturday was our second 8-hour Saturday rehearsal. (yes, actually 8 hours, from 10 AM to 6 PM) Spending the first 2 hours on choreography for a song centered around senior Kira Sanchez was intense but really fun and so worth it. We got to read and sing through the entire show, which was really exciting. The cast got to see the show as a whole and get even more excited than we already are.
