In the MLB, the playoffs begin to take form as the Kansas City Royals, San Francisco Giants, and Pittsburgh Pirates all punched their tickets to the Postseason, yet they were an afterthought as everyone knew what the big talk of the town this week in sports.

New York Yankees shortstop, Derek Jeter, finished an amazing career this week by doing it the only way he knows how. In the bottom of the 9th Jeter drove in the winning run to defeat the Baltimore Orioles in dramatic fashion and then celebrated with teammates of the present and past. The crowd chanted his name one last time as he tipped his cap. What an amazing way to end an amazing run. Thank you Derek, you will be missed.
