On October 19th, Spirit Week concluded with a whole school pep rally. Sporting Friends Academy red and black, the entire school gathered in the field house to celebrate the culmination of Spirit Week. This exciting event was full of cheering for fall sports teams and Friends Academy alumni and dancing led by pep rally leader John O’Brien. It was the perfect way to end the week.
Margot Mangiarotti (’13), who has attended Friends Academy since she was two years old and in playgroup. Her exceptionally long academic career at Friends Academy means that she has been to plenty of Fall Fairs. When asked about her experiences, she responded,
Having been at Friends Academy for 14 years, I have many memories stemming from the Fall Fair. This year was not very different from my nostalgic reflections, which were wonderful. The Fall Fair is and will forever be an event representing happiness and community. While my old favorite activity about the Fall Fair was hands-down the rides; now I enjoy seeing familiar faces: new friends and old friends! I remember refusing to return home after school to be the first on line for Pharaoh’s Fury for family night. This year, I was most excited to see the alumni. The Fair represents our community as a whole, including parents and siblings of the students and faculty. This year was a definite success.
