Information/ Reminders/ Announcements:

Mid-Semester Grades and New Semester One End Date

November 2nd  marks the end of the first “quarter” of our school year.  At this time, teachers will be entering a “calculated grade” for work done to date. Be sure you are “up to date” on all work to be completed and any assessments that might have been missed due to absence.

Keep in mind:

  • Quarter grades are important for college Early Decision (in December).
  • Calculated grades provide more consistency for teachers and clarity for students.  A mid-semester calculated grade offers “finality” and less “grey” area for everyone.

Additionally, the final semester 1 grade will continue to be a “cumulative” grade of work done from the beginning of school until January 11th when semester one ends.
